Seminar description: The ECO Stars Fleet Recognition scheme, recently launched in West Yorkshire, aims to help businesses operating within the region improve the efficiency of their vehicle operations in order to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. This will in turn contribute to an improvement in air quality within the West Yorkshire Area. The presentation will run through the main principles of the scheme, how to become a member and the key benefits for operators. It will also promote some member case studies to demonstrate how the scheme has helped drive change and improve performance.
Ros manages the ECO Stars Recognition Scheme for the North of England. responsible for assessing operators against the scheme and providing them with advice to help improve their fleet efficiency and reduce their emissions. Further to this, she also supports on a number of transport projects including LoCITY – Transport for London’s 5 year programme that aims to accelerate the development, supply and widen uptake of low emission commercial vehicles and refuelling infrastructure to help reduce emissions in London.
Paul joined Transport & Travel Research Limited (TTR) in June 2015, and is responsible for the day to day delivery of local ECO Stars projects in Scotland. Paul has over 20 years’ experience of working within transport orientated roles. His experience extends across fleet management, motor vehicle sales, both commercial and non-commercial. More recently Paul has been managing transport related projects which promote sustainable travel and transport for business. His area of expertise is in the adoption of electric vehicles and ultra-low emission vehicles to business and householders in Scotland.
