Richard Quartermaine photoSeminar Zone: People & Property
Seminar Time: 11.30am – 12:15pm:
Speaker: Richard Quartermaine, Hammerson

Richard is an Environmental Manager at Hammerson, who develop, own and manage retail properties in the UK, Ireland and France. The portfolio consists of prime regional shopping centres, convenient retail parks and Premium Outlet villages.

‘Positive Places’ is Hammerson’s strategy for creating retail destinations that deliver positive impacts economically, socially and environmentally. Positive Places includes a set of five core commitments, each with their own key targets. These are to challenge and innovate, serve and invest, protect and enhance, partner and collaborate and upskill and inspire.

Richard’s role is to ensure that Hammerson’s development projects, such as Victoria Gate in Leeds, deliver against the ‘Positive Places’ targets. The session will outline how challenging corporate targets on issues such as BREEAM and carbon can be delivered from a design, construction and financial perspective.
