Seminar description: As environmental legislation and regulation becomes more detailed and prescriptive, and the business costs of non-compliance become greater, staying on the right side of the law has never been more important.  The reputation damage and diversion of precious management time, mean than no company can leave compliance management to chance. So, how do you ensure that your organisation is in compliance?  This seminar will outline practical approaches to ensure you’re actively managing compliance with laws and regulations, establishing compliance management as a part of the way you do business.

Speaker biography: Martin leads IEMA’s policy and external engagement activity, representing the environment and sustainability profession with government and business. Martin works in the UK and internationally to support the transition to a low carbon, resource efficient and sustainable economy.  He has national and international experience of developing and negotiating global and European standards, and developing capacity for effective and widespread implementation.
